#### About this Role

Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more.

Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work, under the guidance of our SENCO, with our students in individual, small group or classroom-based settings to support progress across the curriculum. You will have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every pupil and be able to relate to young people and adults within the learning environment and be versatile, resilient and able to adapt your practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will also contribute towards the provision of care, guidance and support for our students.

This role is offered on a fixed-term basis for 1 year, working for 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 development days (39 working weeks).

Ormiston Chadwick Academy opened in Widnes in September 2014, serving the community of West Widnes. Our Academy is large enough to offer an outstanding curriculum but small enough to have a strong community ethos in which all students are known and nurtured to achieve their potential.

Working for a Trust nationally recognised for its impact on disadvantaged children – a rewarding, stimulating career where staff are challenged to be the best they can be, for the pupils we are proud to serve

Being part of a team and community where you belong – receiving bespoke and holistic support from a well-resourced and ambitious network of experts and professionals that work at the heart of communities

A supportive environment to grow your career – an extensive professional development programme, alongside flexible working arrangements and generous benefits

Our ideal candidate would:

Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels

Have a good standard of education to GCSE level in English & Maths

Possess good ICT skills

Be reliable, conscientious and committed to supporting students in all aspects of learning

Be enthusiastic with the ability to relate to young people

Understand the importance of this role and be a team player

* Be calm, but with a good sense of humour

If you would relish the opportunity of working with us, then we would welcome your application.
