Legal Cashier – Boutique Law Firm | Whitstable

My client, a highly regarded boutique law firm with multiple offices in the Whitstable area, is currently seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their friendly, professional, and inclusive team. The Role:

As a Legal Cashier, you will play a pivotal role in the firm's finance function, ensuring all transactions are managed in compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) rules. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing client accounts with strict adherence to SRA guidelines

Processing daily financial transactions, including CHAPS, BACS, and Faster Payments (FPS)

Handling payments, receipts, transfers, manual cheques, and cash banking

Posting firm expenses (including fees and travel)

Managing invoices from platforms such as InfoTrack and HM Land Registry

Performing filing and routine administrative tasks to support the finance team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Proven experience working in legal accounts (essential)

A solid understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A self-motivated and highly organised approach to work

Familiarity with 'Indigo' software (preferred but not essential)

Availability to start promptly and ideally located within commutable distance to Whitstable

Must have the legal right to work in the UK
