Ampcontrol is entering an exciting phase of strategic growth, with a clear focus on expanding into attractive markets, strengthening our capabilities and building deeper partnerships with customers across energy, critical infrastructure, resources and industrial sectors.

As we pursue these opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and strategic investments will play an important role in accelerating growth, expanding Ampcontrol’s capabilities and strengthening our market position.

To support this next phase, Ampcontrol is seeking an experienced M&A Manager to lead the development and execution of our M&A strategy and transaction pipeline. Working closely with senior leadership, this role will identify and assess strategic opportunities, lead transaction processes and provide clear commercial advise to help shape the future growth and diversification of the Ampcontrol Group.

Lead and critically review financial modelling, valuation, transaction structuring and commercial analysis.

Direct multidisciplinary internal workstreams and manage and manage external advisers throughout transactions.

Prepare investment cases, recommendations and presentations for Executive and Board consideration.

Ensure integration planning and value creation priorities are incorporated into transaction assessments and support post-acquisition reviews.

Provide market and commercial insights to support strategic growth decisions.

Improve M&A frameworks, processes and governance.

Provide day to day leadership, technical guidance and coaching to more junior members of the M&A team.

About you

You’ll bring significant experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, management consulting or a similar commercial environment, along with:

Demonstrated experience leading or materially managing transactions through multiple stages of the M&A lifecycle

Advanced financial modelling, valuation and commercial analysis skills.

Strong understanding of the end-to-end M&A lifecycle, including target screening, due diligence, transaction structuring, negotiation, completion and integration.

Experience leading transactions and managing multidisciplinary workstreams and external advisers.

Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.

The ability to translate complex financial and commercial analysis into clear, evidence-based recommendations for senior executives and Boards.

The ability to operate independently, exercise commercial judgement and constructively challenge assumptions

A tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Business, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience across industrial, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing or resources environments will be highly regarded.

This is an opportunity to play a central role in shaping Ampcontrol’s growth strategy, lead strategically important transactions and influence significant investment decisions across the Group.
