### Responsibilities

Play a key role in improving how life-changing medical devices are manufactured, driving improvements in quality, efficiency and overall production performance.

Get involved in hands-on problem solving, investigating manufacturing issues, non-conforming materials and customer complaints to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, using Lean principles and structured problem-solving techniques to improve yields, reduce waste and increase efficiency.

Work closely with Engineers, Technicians and Operators, sharing your technical knowledge and helping to resolve day-to-day manufacturing challenges.

Support and lead process validation activities, ensuring manufacturing processes are robust, reliable and meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Play an active role in quality improvement initiatives, including CAPA, MRB, root cause analysis and change control.

Help develop and optimise manufacturing layouts, equipment and workflows, identifying opportunities to make production smoother, safer and more efficient.

Collaborate with R&D and NPI teams, providing manufacturing engineering input and supporting the successful transfer of new processes into production.

Work closely with Quality, Production and other teams to resolve technical issues, support customer requirements and ensure compliance with QMS standards.

### Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Polymer, Biomedical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline, or significant relevant technical experience within medical device manufacturing.

Ideally 3-5 years' experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering within the medical device industry, although candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for a Senior Engineer position.

Good working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) within a regulated medical device environment, ideally including ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.

Hands-on experience in manufacturing process troubleshooting, process control, validation and continuous improvement.

Experience with non-conformance investigations, CAPA, root cause analysis and change control.

Good understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and experience applying these to improve manufacturing performance.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across Engineering, Quality and Production teams.

Lean Systems Green Belt or Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be an advantage, but is not essential.
