\r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Opportunity:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tEarn $39.39 per hour\r\n\tOpportunity for Overtime\r\n\tFull health & dental benefits available after 3 months\r\n\tPension\r\n\tPerks and discounts on entertainment, travel, attractions, shopping, sports and more\r\n\tAll PPE is provided to employees (hard hat, boots, jacket, etc.)\r\n\tSupport of a union\r\n\tFast paced learning environment\r\n\tTrades licenses reimbursement\r\n\tTool Replacement by company\r\n\tReason for vacancy - existing headcount\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tEnhance equipment performance, recommending improvements and implementing.\r\n\tBe able to install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment with minimum supervision\r\n\tWorks from drawings, written or verbal instructions and sketches\r\n\tBe able to troubleshoot and identify mechanical/electrical problems\r\n\tOperate production equipment and check performance as required\r\n\tBe strong on PM (preventative maintenance) procedures in a 24 hour/day operation\r\n\tHave proficient knowledge in use of computerized maintenance management system.\r\n\tEnsure all job-related operations are in compliance with GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS and health & safety requirements.\r\n\tPerform other duties as assigned\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nYou must be legally eligible to work and currently residing in Canada.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You’ll Bring:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tValid Ontario Millwright license\r\n\tExperience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset\r\n\tExperience in welding and plumbing would be an asset\r\n\tExperience in operating powered material handling equipment such as walkies and forklifts would be an asset\r\n\tMust have a full complement of personal/professional hand tools\r\n\tSense of urgency and attention to detail\r\n\tStrong team player as well ability to work alone\r\n\tSafety conscious\r\n\tHeavy lifting required\r\n\tAbility to work well in a team environment\r\n\tBasic computer ability coupled with strong communication skills\r\n\tHighly motivated – able to work well with minimal supervision\r\n\tRotating shift and weekends may be required\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBeing part of a high-performance, people-focused company that has an inspiring and unique vision to become the most sustainable protein company on earth, and a deep commitment to sustainable protein across North America.\r\n\tAn inclusive company culture and a work environment that keeps our people safe, rewards excellence, and empowers everyone to learn and contribute their best.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n
