We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Chef/Cook to join our team covering Newry and the greater area. This is a great opportunity to join a world leading facilities management company.

Working Pattern:

40 hours per week

Various Shifts

5 out of 7 days per week

The Role:

Prepare and cook all food to an exceptional standard, ensuring all HACCP regulations are adhered to.

Ensure the service counter is prepped and ready for service

Providing the highest level of customer service

Work as part of the team to ensure the service is delivered on time

Completing any administration including recording of food temperatures, updating cleaning schedules

Report defective equipment, floor surfaces to the Line Manager

Ensure the opening and closing of all food outlets are carried out in accordance with Company procedures.

Ensure all food is labelled correctly

Carry out cleaning duties as required by Unit Manager

Ensure all team members are fully briefed on ingredients for dishes with emphasis on allergens.

Ensure all Health, Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures are adhered to

Comply with HACCP regulations as necessary

The Person

Previous culinary experience

Previous experience working in a busy kitchen

Demonstratable knowledge of HACCP

Excellent communication and organisational skills

The ability to work successfully as part of a team or individually

Previous experience working in a contract catering environment

NVQ level 2&3 or City & Guilds 706/ 1&2 or above

Full clean driving licence

Access to own transport

Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work, instructions and communicating with customer on a day-today basis
