We’re currently looking for reliable and experienced Mobile Patrol Officers to join our Auckland night shift team.

Current vacancies:

Manukau / South Auckland – 3 x full-time positions

Central & West Auckland – 1 x part-time position

About the Role

As a Mobile Patrol Officer, you’ll be out in the community carrying out scheduled patrols and responding to security events across a variety of client sites.

No two nights are exactly the same. You could be completing a routine property check, responding to an alarm activation, securing a client site or identifying and reporting a potential security risk.

You’ll be trusted to use good judgement, manage your patrol run effectively and represent Matrix Security professionally at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting scheduled mobile patrols and security checks
• Responding to alarm activations and security incidents
• Completing lock-ups and unlocks of client premises
• Checking buildings, doors, gates, perimeter areas and access points
• Identifying and reporting suspicious activity, hazards, damage or security risks
• Responding appropriately to incidents and escalating when required
• Completing accurate patrol, incident and activity reports
• Liaising professionally with clients, the public and our Operations team
• Following site instructions, company procedures and health and safety requirements
• Looking after assigned patrol vehicles and equipment
• Providing a visible, professional security presence and excellent customer service
• These are night shift positions, so you’ll need to be comfortable working independently, managing your time effectively and staying alert and responsive throughout your shift.
• What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you must have:

• A current Certificate of Approval (COA)
• A full New Zealand Driver Licence
• The legal right to work in New Zealand
• Previous security experience, with mobile patrol experience preferred
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
• Excellent reliability and time management
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence working independently at night
• A professional attitude and strong customer-service focus
• A good level of physical fitness for patrol duties
