**ABOUT THE COMMUNITY**

Skownan School is a Nursery to Grade 9 facility with 130 students, 10 teaching staff and 17 support staff located in Skownan, approximately one and a half hours northeast of Dauphin. Local amenities include a gas bar, convenience store, restaurant, and a health centre. Hunting, fishing and eco-tourism are all vital drivers for the local economy.

**WHAT YOU BRING**

• Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
• A sound knowledge of provincial curricula
• Previous Music teaching experience (guitar, keyboard and other instruments)
• A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
• Strong classroom management skills
• Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)
• Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
