We are currently looking to fill a permanent, full-time positionfor a Network and Infrastructure Technician for our Farms Information Technology Department at our Leamington, ON location.

With over 900 employees, the Network and Infrastructure Technician plays an integral role in keeping our company connected by supporting critical business operations and ensuring all employees can communicate seamlessly. The Network and Infrastructure Technician is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining a secure IT infrastructure, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards. This role also manages infrastructure projects, and serves as a key escalation point for complex issues, vendor coordination, and second tier on-call support.

Job Specific Duties

• Network Design and Implementation: Develop and implement network architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Infrastructure Management: Maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, backup and networking equipment.
• Security: Mange security protocols to protect the network and data from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Team Collaboration: Work with both the Help Desk and Network Infrastructure Lead to obtain goals in a positive and professional manner.
• Project Management: Manage infrastructure projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Assist in the migration after deployment from Network Infrastructure Team to Help Desk Team.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and support of network and infrastructure components.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes and procedures.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends to continuously improve the network and infrastructure.
• Ticket Escalation: Assist the Help Desk team with more complex tickets.
• On-Call: Provide second-tier support for on call IT issues escalating complex or unresolved matters as needed.
• Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with configuring/installing workstations, network switches, network routers, network cabling, AD Server user management and Exchange user management.
• 3-5 years experience in Network and Infrastructure related work.
• 2–3-year technology diploma is an asset.
• Any technical certifications are an asset, A+ Hardware/Software, MCSE.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills – fluent in written and oral English.
• Must be able to adapt to change, problem solve and use various tools to resolve issues.
• Strong ability to stay focused and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision. Must be self motivated and have excellent attention to detail.
• Must demonstrate the ability to adapt between independent work and team collaboration, contributing effectively in group settings and supporting shared goals.
