- Which Dutch employers can sponsor a highly skilled migrant?
- Only a recognised sponsor: an employer on the IND public register. The employer applies to the IND for your residence permit. Each job here says whether its employer is on that register, and the company page shows its KvK number.
- How much does the job have to pay?
- The highly skilled migrant route has a monthly salary threshold that depends on your age, with a lower one for recent graduates; the IND sets the amounts each year. Our Netherlands sponsor page shows the current amounts.
- What about jobs that pay less, like care, farm or driving work?
- Those usually need a combined permit (GVVA): the employer applies, and the UWV first checks whether someone in the Netherlands or the EU can do the job. It is a different route from the highly skilled migrant permit.
- Can I apply from the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Qatar?
- Yes. These work visas are applied for from outside the country, so you can apply while you work in the Gulf or anywhere else. Many applications also ask for a police clearance certificate from the countries you have lived in, and the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar issue them.
- Is ApplyWave an employer or a recruitment agency?
- No. ApplyWave lists jobs from employers and helps you prepare and send your application. We do not employ anyone or sponsor visas, and real employers never charge money for a job or a visa sponsorship.
