**Salary/Level:** Level 3, $89,464 - $96,043 p.a. plus Superannuation
**Tenure:** Permanent, Full-time
**Location:** Esperance, Western Australia
The South Coast Region extends 1,200 km from Denmark to the South Australian border and includes 14 national parks and 150 nature reserves covering 2.5 million hectares plus 7 million hectares of unallocated Crown land (UCL). National parks include Torndirrup, Porongurup, Stirling Range, Fitzgerald River, West Cape Howe, Gull Rock, Waychinicup, Stokes, Cape Le Grand, and Cape Arid.
The South Coast Region’s key service deliverables include nature conservation, parks and visitor services and fire management.
We are currently seeking a Operations Officer to join our team.
Under the direction of the District Parks and Visitor Services Coordinator:
* Undertakes projects which assist with the implementation of the parks and visitor services (PVS) output in the Esperance district.
* Assists with contract administration and management within the district.

**Selection Criteria**
1. Some knowledge of and experience in developing and implementing operational plans and works programs associated with visitor management and natural resource management.
2. Experience in project and contractor management.
3. Knowledge of and experience in assessing, recording and reporting of park assets and infrastructure including condition assessments and maintenance schedules.
4. Evidence of good oral communication and interpersonal skills and experience in building and maintaining networks; liaising with the public, commercial tourism operators, community groups, special interest groups (including indigenous groups) and other stakeholders.
