Project Manager - Christchurch
Job Description
We're Paul Smith Earthmoving, a down-to-earth company that knows how to move mountains - literally. We tackle earthmoving and civil infrastructure projects of all sizes, and we're known for getting the job done right, safely and on time.
We're on the look out for a hands-on Project Manager who's great at keeping things running smoothly on-site and behind the scenes. If you've got experience in earthworks, know your way around a construction site, and have a proven track record of delivering, we'd love to hear from you
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating and delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Coordinate resources, equipment, and staff by working closely with other project managers and the transport manager.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
Monitoring progress and provide regular updates to clients.
Lead site meetings and liaise with clients and contractors
Requirements
Proven experience in project management within the earthmoving or civil construction industry
Strong understanding of earthworks, site preparation, and heavy machinery operations
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Relevant qualifications in construction management or engineering
Valid driver’s licence
