Medical Radiation Technologist Opportunity at Hastings Health Centre

Are you a skilled Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) looking to make a difference in a dynamic healthcare setting?

Hastings Health Centre, a large and integrated primary healthcare facility serving the Hawke’s Bay community 7 days a week, is seeking a dedicated professional to join our essential and close-knit radiology department.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging while contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of our radiology service.

Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT)

As an MRT, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic X-ray imaging services ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality. You will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care within our busy healthcare facility.

What You’ll Do:

Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures.

Apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.

Ensure imaging procedures are performed safely and efficiently.

Assist with clerical and quality assurance tasks to keep the department running efficiently.

What You’ll Bring:

A Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Imaging Technology (or equivalent).

Registration with the Medical Radiation Technologist Board and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.

Experience with relevant radiology systems.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
