Scenario Analyst
Job Description
Our client is a fast-growing Australian working capital lender based on Brisbane's south side, backed by a leading institutional group. They fund established businesses same day through a national broker and direct channel and are expanding their commercial team.
The role
This role sits at the operational core of how our client works with its broker network. Every application that comes through the broker channel lands on this desk. You assess it, issue the conditional approval and you're the voice brokers hear when they want a straight answer on where their deal is up to.
This isn't a sales role. But it's built for someone who's comfortable dealing with brokers and professionals over the phone every day and who understands that speed and clarity are what keep those relationships strong.
Day to day you'll be
Assessing broker-submitted scenarios against credit policy (trading history, bank statements, turnover, serviceability) and reaching a clear, defensible position
Issuing conditional approvals within SLA with conditions stated plainly so brokers know exactly what happens next
Chasing missing information the same day and following files through to completion
Taking broker calls and answering questions on outcomes, conditions and next steps directly and confidently
Keeping every scenario, decision and interaction accurately logged in the CRM and scenario register
What we're looking for
Credit experience is not required and full training is provided. What you do need:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. You'll be dealing with professional brokers every day and they judge the business on how quickly and clearly it responds
Working Excel skills, sorting, filtering, formulas and pivot tables
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to working through a queue
A genuine appetite to learn credit properly and build real lending knowledge over time
Confidence on the phone. This is not a back-of-house role
Recent graduates and career starters are encouraged to apply.
Why this role
Real decisions, quickly. You'll be issuing approvals that matter inside your first few months
Credit skills that travel. You'll learn how commercial lending actually works from people doing it every day
* The stability and growth trajectory of a well-backed scale-up
Details
Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 inclusive of superannuation, some flexibility experience dependent. South side location. Full time, permanent, immediate start. Full Australian working rights required.
