Senior Accountant

We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Auckland team, providing accounting, client advice, and innovative solutions to large middle-market businesses and SMEs across New Zealand.

Your role, your contribution!

Prepare financial statements and manage technical client work, including IFRS reporting and complex group structures, with working knowledge of income tax, company tax, GST, FBT, trusts, and management accounting

Work on business advisory projects such as: budgets and cashflows, KPI dashboards and management reporting

Assist with managing and developing a portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries, ensuring jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines, within budget.

Liaise with the IRD and other Government bodies on client matters

Ensure all documentation including work papers and client files are maintained in line with Findex Group compliance requirements

Maintain up to date technical knowledge to ensure compliance with all statutory and relevant regulatory requirements

What you bring to the role:

Previous business advisory accounting experience gained within public practice with a CA/CPA qualification

Degree-qualified accountant, CA/CPA complete or underway

Utilise your strong Excel skills and practical experience with cloud accounting products (e.g. Xero, MYOB).

Strong commercial acumen paired with sound technical accounting and analytical skills

* Genuine desire to be an enthusiastic and active contributor to team

Ability to develop positive relationships with key stakeholders and clients
