Senior Civil Engineer

We're looking for a highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer who is excited by the prospect of working alongside ambitious engineers eager to make an impression in Canterbury. You will play a key role in building our reputation, growing our client relationships, mentoring early career engineers, and helping establish BCD as a preferred consultancy in the South Island.

The Opportunity

Lead the delivery of land development and civil engineering projects from concept through to completion.

Build and strengthen relationships with developers, contractors, architects, councils and key stakeholders.

Identify opportunities for new work and contribute to the growth of our South Island presence.

Mentor and support graduate and intermediate engineers. But still be hands on enough to deliver the work while the team grows, so experience in Civil3D is important.

Provide technical leadership and quality assurance across a variety of projects.

Contribute to the ongoing development of our Christchurch office and culture.

What You’ll Bring

Ideally CPEng qualified Civil Engineer, or on the path to obtaining in next 12 months.

Significant New Zealand consulting experience, preferably within Christchurch.

Strong land development, infrastructure and civil design experience, proficient in Civil 3D.

Proven ability to manage client relationships and generate repeat business.

Commercial acumen and project management capability.

Someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and enjoys creating opportunities.
