**Core Responsibilities:**

Build & Develop Software Systems

Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications

Build new features for Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Trello)

Write clean, efficient, and production-ready code

Work on Cloud & Distributed Systems

Develop highly scalable cloud-based services

Work with microservices architecture

Ensure systems can handle millions of global users

Improve performance, reliability, and latency of services

Collaboration & Agile Development

Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers

Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)

Review code from other engineers and ensure best practices

Testing, Debugging & Quality Assurance

Write unit and integration tests

Debug production issues and fix bugs quickly

Improve system stability and reliability

Security & Performance

Implement secure coding practices

Monitor system performance and improve scalability

Ensure data privacy and compliance standards

Innovation & AI Integration

Contribute to AI-powered features (Atlassian Intelligence)

Work on automation, smart workflows, and developer tools

Help improve cloud engineering platforms

Continuous Improvement

Participate in system design discussions

Improve engineering tools and internal frameworks

Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge

**Requirements:**

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Strong programming skills (Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, Kotlin, etc.)

Pay: From $8,300.00 per month
