Software Engineer - Expert

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Senior Software Engineer contractors to support a strategic wealth and investment management initiative. This role focuses on building and enhancing modern, scalable applications used within investment and wealth management platforms. Contractors will work closely with engineering peers, product partners, and agile teams to deliver high‑quality solutions with minimal onboarding time.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications using Java and React
• Contribute to core features supporting investment management and wealth management workflows
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including stand‑ups, planning, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to deliver production‑ready solutions
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews and adherence to engineering best practices
• Support ongoing enhancements, bug fixes, and technical improvements

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with Java and React (JavaScript / TypeScript)
• Proven background in software engineering (5–10 years experience)
• Prior experience within investment management or wealth management environments
• Solid understanding of modern web application architecture and development patterns
• Experience working in agile development teams
• Ability to work independently with minimal training and ramp‑up

Nice to Have

• Experience with databases and data modeling
• Exposure to C#
• Previous work on large‑scale financial or wealth platforms
• Familiarity with distributed teams and remote collaboration
