Sr. Finance Analyst - Fixed Assets (Contract)

\r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Opportunity:\r\n\r\nAs a member of the fixed assets team the Senior Finance Analyst, Fixed Assets will report to the Manager, Finance - Fixed Assets.  The individual will play a key role in the reporting, tracking, analysis, and audit of Fixed Assets, Intangibles Assets and Investment Properties. The individual will be responsible for various aspects of the month end close and will support the business in responding to various enquiries and other projects as required.\r\n\r\n\r\nAny MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by October 13. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tOwnership of the fixed assets cycle for the assigned Operation Units which includes the accounting of all capital transactions at project level, completion of capitalizations, assets transfers and retirements, review and analysis of assets under construction\r\n\tReporting of monthly Management Control Report (MCR) for Capital Expenditures and quarterly reporting requirements (Appendices) which includes detailed schedules to support key transactions. \r\n\tManage and finalize the quarterly Idle assets inquiry for all MLF\r\n\tOrganize & complete the C3 self-testing.  Provide all supporting documentation/information as requested by C3\r\n\tSupport the Manager in the KPMG audit and other requests as required\r\n\tBring forward to 1-up continuous improvement ideas that can streamline work and create efficiencies\r\n\tOn-going support, counsel and coaching to MLF capital owner’s\r\n\tMonthly balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of journal entries\r\n\tOther duties and special projects, as required\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You’ll Bring:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAccounting Designation (CPA) with a minimum of 5 years of working experience within Finance\r\n\tExperience with SAP, BPC and fixed assets cycle\r\n\tLead continuous improvement initiatives\r\n\tDetailed oriented person with strong communications, interpersonal and organizational skills\r\n\tAbility to work with minimum supervision and be a dedicated team player\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBeing part of a high-performance, people-focused company that has an inspiring and unique vision to become the most sustainable protein company on earth, and a deep commitment to sustainable protein across North America.\r\n\tAn inclusive company culture and a work environment that keeps our people safe, rewards excellence, and empowers everyone to learn and contribute their best. \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n
