Staff Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Brazil, Indiana. In this role, you will provide essential support for accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. This position offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact while collaborating with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns with precision and attention to detail.
• Manage and reconcile sales tax filings to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Perform accurate journal entries and maintain proper documentation.
• Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring all accounts are up-to-date and balanced.
• Assist with financial reporting processes and provide support during audits.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and accounts.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial information.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in corporate tax, including preparation and filing.
• Hands-on experience with sales tax management and reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and audit processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work on-site and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$30.00-$35.00 Hourly
