Summer Pruning - Ōpōtiki

We are looking to recruit seasonal Orchard Workers to work in our orchard division in Ōpōtiki over the summer pruning season. This is a seasonal role which will start around early October. You will enjoy a high energy, dynamic and fast-paced role, working outdoors in nature - just bring your positive attitude and great work ethic!!

About the Work:

Position: Orchard Worker

Location: Orchards in Ōpōtiki

Contract Type: Seasonal Contract

Period: Starting approx. 12 October for 4-8 weeks

Hourly Rate: $26.00 per hour plus 8% holiday pay

Summer Pruning - You will be given training and guidance on

what should be pruned, trimmed, or removed.  Summer pruning, thinning, bud

thinning and tipping are the types of jobs but mostly thinning, no experience

required full training will be given.

Your own transport and accommodation will be required, as the orchards are located in a remote and beautiful part of New Zealand. Having your own transport is essential as you will need to travel between different orchards.

There are plenty of beaches, rivers and cycling tracks to enjoy in your time off. It’s also a great place to save money while enjoying the relaxed lifestyle of a quaint rural town.

Ability to get yourself to orchards, reliable transport

Working to achieve the combined efforts of the team

Able to walk through different orchard terrain

Strong sense of personal safety

Work outdoors in all weather
