Job Description
Job Duties – Transport Operations Manager
Manage, organise and control the day-to-day operations of the company’s goods delivery and transport services, ensuring efficient and timely delivery to customers and construction sites.
Receive and coordinate customer orders and delivery bookings, prepare transportation schedules, and allocate trucks and drivers according to requirements.
Coordinate with the drivers and customers to ensure goods are loaded, transported, and delivered within required timeframes and in appropriate conditions.
Liaise with customers and construction site managers regarding delivery requirements, site access, delivery times and service arrangements, and resolve customer enquiries and complaints.
Organise the purchase, servicing, repair and maintenance of trucks, vehicles, equipment and fuel, and monitor vehicle availability and roadworthiness.
Coordinate and supervise drivers and transport staff, allocate daily work, monitor operational performance and ensure efficient use of vehicles and resources.
Monitor transportation activities and make operational adjustments to address delivery delays, changes in customer requirements, vehicle breakdowns and other operational issues.
Maintain business and operational records relating to customer orders, deliveries, vehicle use, fuel, maintenance and driver activities, and prepare operational reports as required.
Monitor transport operating costs, vehicle utilisation and delivery efficiency, and implement improvements to support effective and economical business operations.
Ensure all transport operations, vehicles and employees comply with relevant occupational health and safety, road transport and company requirements.
Requirements-
Ability to work Monday to Saturday
Diploma Level qualification or 3 years of work experience

Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour
