Job Description
About the role
Based in either of our World Travellers Merivale or Rolleston stores and backed by our wider team including a processor and administrator for your bookings. You'll help clients plan everything from a Pacific escape to a long-awaited Cruise or Long Haul journey, building your own client relationships along the way. You'll turn enquiries into bookings and first bookings into lasting client relationships by asking the right questions, listening carefully, following through and confidently asking for the sale.

Recommend options, handle objections and close sales
Help clients plan travel from Pacific escapes to long-haul journeys
Build your own client relationships
Maintain strong attention to detail and ownership of your work
About you
Proven sales record and motivation to achieve results
Ability to build rapport and earn clients' trust
Confidence recommending options, handling objections and closing sales
Strong attention to detail and ownership of your work
Curiosity about destinations and willingness to keep learning
Travel industry experience would be an advantage but not essential
Strong sales skills, initiative and commitment to getting things right are essential
Either experienced travel consultant ready for a change, or successful salesperson from another industry with extensive travel experience and drive to learn
