Waiting Staff

Up to £13 per hour, plus tronc

Four mates. One back-garden barbecue that got out of hand. A burger that came second in the world.

That was 2011. Now there are eight Beefy Boys restaurants and over 400 of us. Our Cambridge restaurant is loud, busy and full of people having the best night of their week, and we need you on the floor.

Here's the job.

You'll look after your tables, run food, keep drinks topped up and make every guest feel like they've turned up at a mate's barbecue. Nobody here says "not my section". If the bar's slammed, you help. If a burger's sitting on the pass, you run it. Everyone mucks in,managers included.

You'll fit right in if...

you've got energy,a big smile and a cool head when it gets busy. No experience needed. We'll teach you the rest.

The honest bit.

It's busy. Think Saturday night, every table full and a queue at the door. If you want a quiet shift,we're not the place for you. If you love the buzz, you'll fit right in.

So,what's the pay?

Nobody works for free,so let's be upfront. And honestly? It's good. You'll get up to £13.00 an hour. On top of that you get tronc. If you've not heard the word before,it's our tips, pooled and split fairly across the whole team, and paid through your wages. We don't keep a penny of it. It goes up and down with how busy we are,but last year it added an average of £3 an hour, depending on the site.

We open 12 till 9.30,so no 6am starts and no 2am finishes.

What else you get.

All the stuff you'd expect is here:holiday,a pension, free food every shift and money off when you bring your mates in. Plus wellbeing support, including a GP and mental health support, and we close on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. But ask anyone who's been here a while and they'll tell you it's the people. A team that has your back on a mad Saturday, managers who'll run food with you,and two staff parties a year, including our summer festival.
