WANTED - Construction (QS) Tutor (12 Months Fixed Term)

Are you passionate about shaping the future workforce within the construction and quantity surveying industry?
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Construction/Quantity Surveying (QS) Tutor to join our educational institution.
In this role, you will primarily deliver modules within the New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Level 6 and may also contribute to teaching in the Construction stream, depending on your expertise. You will be joining a team committed to providing high-quality education and training for the next generation of Construction/QS professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and industry-relevant lectures and practical sessions aligned with the approved curriculum.
Provide academic and pastoral support to students, ensuring a positive learning experience.
Collaborate with the Programme Leader to maintain the quality and effectiveness of course delivery.
Communicate effectively with a diverse student body, including international students.
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that enhance student learning.
Assess and grade student work within the required timeframes.
Maintain accurate student records and monitor progress.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
NZ Diploma in Construction (Level 6) or a relevant undergraduate degree
A minimum of two years of full-time experience in Quantity Surveying or construction industry.
Current Registered Quantity Surveyor (NZIQS) status (preferred but not required).
An Adult Education qualification (preferred but not required).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with international students and academic staff.
* Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.
