Welder / Fabricator
Job Description
About the role
Depending on your experience, your work may include MIG and TIG welding, mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium fabrication, structural steel fabrication, architectural and general engineering work, cutting, drilling, folding, rolling and fitting, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, fabricating components from drawings through to completion, assembly and installation work, one-off and small-batch fabrication, and maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key responsibilities
MIG and TIG welding
Mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium fabrication
Structural steel fabrication
Architectural and general engineering work
Cutting, drilling, folding, rolling and fitting
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Fabricating components from drawings through to completion
Assembly and installation work
One-off and small-batch fabrication
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
About you
Proven welding and fabrication experience
Strong MIG welding skills
TIG experience is highly regarded
Ability to confidently read engineering drawings
Experience working with structural steel and/or stainless and aluminium
Good fabrication and fitting skills
Strong attention to detail
Reliable attitude and good work ethic
Ability to work independently and within a team
Trade qualifications or welding tickets are advantageous, but strong hands-on experience is what we're really interested in
