**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder specializing in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding tasks on various metal components, ensuring all work meets industry standards and project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of durable structures, ductwork, piping, and sheet metal assemblies across construction and manufacturing sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that demand technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a proactive safety mindset.
**Duties**
* Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials including sheet metal, pipe, and structural components following detailed blueprints and schematics.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
* Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and prepare materials for welding.
* Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and weld integrity in accordance with ASME codes & standards.
* Assist with rigging, crane operation, pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly tasks as needed on construction or manufacturing sites.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding hazards, rigging procedures, and site safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring high-quality workmanship on all welded components.
**Skills**
* Proven experience in construction site environments with strong knowledge of safety practices.
* Proficiency in MIG welding (GMAW) and TIG welding (GTAW), including specific welding techniques if applicable.
* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
* Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
* Familiarity with ASME codes & standards for welding quality assurance.
* Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, crane operation, pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly processes.
* Competence in using calipers, micrometers, basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
* Experience working with ductwork or sheet metal fabrication is preferred.
* Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
