Baker

We are looking for a Baker with occasional Chef de Partie duties to join our kitchen team!

Part time position

• Duties
• Plan and execute recipes (cakes/pastries) in collaboration with the Head Chef
• Ensure stock of supplies at all times
• Manage ingredients that should be frequently available on a daily basis
• Follow the directions of the Head and Sous chef
• Suggest new ways of presentation of products
• Suggest new rules and procedures for optimizing the cooking process
• Give attention productivity of the kitchen such as speed and food quality
• Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards
• Collaborate with other colleagues and seniors

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Baker role of +2 years
• Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, tools and processes
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work efficiently to comply with hours rostered
• Great time management skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of best and latest cooking practices
• Knowledge of cooking savory dishes
• Keep cleaningless all around you, following HACCP
• regulations
