**Business Development Manager (Contract)**
*Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.*
**Summary:**
This position serves as the heartbeat of a dynamic workplace, ensuring teams feel supported, connected, and empowered to perform at their best. Sitting at the intersection of culture, operations, and site engagement, the successful candidate will work closely with program and events teams as well as central facilities teams while owning the day-to-day experience of the site. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in autonomy, enjoys solving problems before they become problems, and can flex between strategic thinking and hands-on execution. The role requires a natural problem solver who is energized by ownership and anticipates needs proactively, making things work better than they were found.
**Job Responsibilities:**
- Ensure smooth daily operations across the site including supplies, meeting spaces, security coordination, and general site rhythm
- Manage relationships with onsite vendors including catering, cleaning, security, and events to ensure high-quality service and strong partnerships
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, run safety programs, and champion a safe, inclusive workplace
- Partner with facilities teams on space design, moves, expansions, and occupancy planning
- Act as the connective tissue between teams, central facilities, and other internal partners
- Build trust and serve as the primary point of contact for workplace experience matters
- Anticipate needs and proactively solve problems without requiring heavy oversight
- Drive improvements that scale across locations while respecting local needs
- Elevate culture through thoughtful, inclusive initiatives
- Support teams ranging from 100 to 2500 people, adjusting approach accordingly
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in workplace management, office operations, executive assistance, or related roles
- Demonstrated experience operating in startup or scale-up environments where ambiguity, speed, and rapid change are the norm
- Proven track record as a strong generalist with diverse operational capabilities
- Experience supporting fast-moving, dynamic teams where priorities shift frequently
- Background in hospitality, guest-experience leadership, program management, or tech environments preferred
- Experience supporting organizations through rapid growth or scaling is a plus
- Must be located near or willing to work onsite at the NYC-122 Fifth Avenue office four days per week
- Minimum of 12 months availability for contract duration
- Strong communication abilities across all levels and functions
- Project management expertise with ability to lead initiatives to completion
- Operations management experience in fast-paced environments
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a people-first mindset
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing settings
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with proactive approach

**Additional Details:**
- Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
- Duration: 3 months
- Pay Range\*: $29 - $32.50 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
- Job Status: Non-Exempt
