**Business Development Manager (Contract)**
*Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.*
**Summary:**
This position serves as the heartbeat of a dynamic workplace, designing and delivering an exceptional onsite experience through ownership of daily office operations, vendor relationships, health and safety programs, and space planning initiatives. Working at the intersection of culture, operations, and site engagement, this role requires someone who thrives in autonomy and enjoys solving problems before they become problems. The ideal candidate will blend operational excellence with a people-first mindset, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where employees feel supported, connected, and able to perform their best work. This position requires flexibility between strategic thinking and hands-on execution while supporting teams ranging from 100 to 2500 people. The role demands someone who can operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and act as the connective tissue between cross-functional teams and central facilities operations.
**Job Responsibilities:**
- Ensure smooth daily operations across the site including supplies, meeting spaces, security coordination, and general site rhythm
- Manage relationships with onsite vendors including catering, cleaning, security, and events providers to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Maintain health and safety compliance, run safety programs, and champion a safe and inclusive workplace environment
- Partner with facilities teams on space design, moves, expansions, and occupancy planning initiatives
- Act as liaison between teams, central facilities, and other internal partners to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Anticipate needs and proactively solve problems without requiring heavy oversight
- Drive improvements that scale across multiple locations while respecting local site needs
- Elevate workplace culture through thoughtful and inclusive initiatives
- Build trust and strong relationships with people at every level of the organization
- Lead initiatives and drive them to completion with minimal supervision
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in workplace operations, office management, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience operating in startup or scale-up environments where ambiguity, speed, and rapid change are the norm
- Proven track record as a strong generalist with diverse operational capabilities
- Experience supporting fast-moving, dynamic teams where priorities shift frequently
- Background in hospitality, guest-experience leadership, executive assistance, or workplace management preferred
- Experience supporting organizations through rapid growth, change, or significant scaling is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a people-first mindset
- Project management and operations management expertise
- Proven ability to work autonomously and take ownership of initiatives
- Problem-solving skills with ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Adaptability to work in fast-moving, ambiguous, and evolving settings
- Relationship building across functions, levels, and geographies
- Vendor management and partnership development

**Additional Details:**
- Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)
- Duration: 3 months
- Pay Range\*: $29 - $32.50 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
- Job Status: Non-Exempt
