Casual Relief Merchandiser

Zeagold is one of New Zealand’s leading egg producers, supplying high-quality eggs to supermarkets across the country. We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Casual Relief Merchandiser to join our team, providing cover across supermarkets in Christchurch, Rolleston and surrounding areas.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, casual relief role where you will be responsible for maintaining excellent in-store presentation of Zeagold products. You’ll be travelling between supermarkets, ensuring stock is well presented, rotated correctly, and compliant with best-before date requirements.

This position is ideal for someone looking for flexible work who is available to provide cover when required. Shifts may be arranged in advance to cover planned leave, or at short notice when unexpected cover is needed.

There is regular work available, particularly leading into and throughout the Christmas period, with the potential for ongoing opportunities as business needs change.

Key responsibilities include

• Driving between assigned supermarkets across Christchurch, Rolleston and surrounding areas
• Rotating stock and ensuring correct product placement
• Monitoring and managing best-before dates
• Maintaining clean, tidy and well-stocked displays
• Building positive relationships with store staff
• Following food safety and health & safety standards
• Adapting to the different requirements and expectations of each supermarket
• About You

To be successful in this role, you will be

Reliable, organised and self-motivated

Comfortable working independently and adapting to changing requirements

Flexible and available to work at short notice when required

Physically capable of light lifting and repetitive tasks

Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on presentation

Confident driving between multiple locations

Comfortable communicating with store staff and the Zeagold team

What You Will Need

Full, clean New Zealand driver licence

Access to a reliable vehicle

Good time management and organisational skills

Previous merchandising or grocery experience

Availability to work Monday to Friday, with occasional Sunday work

Availability to work throughout the Christmas period
