Certified Gas Welders

We are looking for an experienced, certified Gas Welder to join a project in Greymouth on the West Coast.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder seeking competitive hourly rates, accommodation provided, and additional support while working away from home.

We understand that being away from family and home can be challenging. Depending on where you're based, there may be an option for one return flight home per month or, for those living within driving distance, negotiated travel assistance to get home each week.

If you're a qualified welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining excellent safety standards, we'd like to hear from you.

The Role

Carrying out gas welding work to the required specifications and quality standards.

Reading and interpreting welding drawings, plans and technical specifications.

Preparing materials, joints and equipment for welding.

Inspecting completed work to ensure weld quality and compliance with project requirements.

Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring a safe working environment.

Following all site health and safety procedures and relevant welding standards.

Working alongside other trades and site personnel to meet project deadlines.

What We're Looking For

Relevant welding qualifications and current certifications appropriate to the work being undertaken.

Proven experience in gas welding and the ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds.

The ability to interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.

A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Reliability, a good work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A current driver's licence is advantageous, depending on site requirements.

What's On Offer?

$40–$45 per hour, depending on experience and certification.

Accommodation provided while working in Greymouth.

Living away from home allowance to help support you while working away.

Travel assistance options, depending on where you're based:

+ One return flight home per month may be available for those living further away.

+ For candidates within reasonable driving distance, weekly travel home may be negotiated, with eligible travel costs covered.

A great opportunity to secure work on a project in the West Coast region.

Travel arrangements and allowances will be discussed and agreed upon based on your home location and project requirements.

Ready for Your Next Opportunity?
