Civil Machine Operators - Multiple Roles Available

$30–$45 per hour + Accommodation + Living Away From Home Allowances + Paid Travel Home

Unite Recruit is seeking experienced Civil Machine Operators to join a civil construction project in Invercargill. We have multiple positions available for reliable operators with proven experience in earthworks and civil construction.

With accommodation provided, daily living away from home allowances and paid travel home once a month, this is a great opportunity to work on a regional project without having to organise your own accommodation and travel.

Important: You must be available to work over Christmas and New Year.

Positions Available

• Roller Operators
• Moxy Operators (Articulated Dump Trucks)
• Loader Operators
• Water Cart Operators

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating civil machinery safely and efficiently across earthworks and civil construction activities.
• Carrying out daily pre-start checks and identifying potential hazards.
• Working alongside ground crews and other operators to ensure smooth site operations.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Assisting with general site duties when required.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of proven experience in civil construction or earthworks.
• Current Class 2 driver's licence with WTR endorsements (Wheels, Tracks and Rollers).
• Proven experience operating at least one of the machines listed above.
• Confidence working around heavy machinery and active civil construction sites.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work well within a team.
• Willingness to work away from home.
• Must be available to work through Christmas and New Year until mid-February 2027.
