About the role:

Plan and coordinate daily site activities, allocate tasks and provide clear direction to the site team

Lead and support site crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard

Hands-on leadership approach, with a willingness to get involved on site and support the team wherever required

Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to coordinate programme, resources and project priorities

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, plant and materials to ensure projects continue to run smoothly

Monitor site progress, identify potential issues early and contribute to maintaining project quality, productivity and programme

Skills and experience:

5–10 years’ experience within the civil construction industry, with proven experience in a Foreman, Supervisor or senior Leading Hand position

Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, site operations and project delivery

Proven experience as a hands-on Machine, with the ability to operate excavators and other heavy machinery.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients

A great attitude and strong team-player mentality, with a genuine desire to contribute to and maintain the positive culture already established within the business

A proactive approach to problem solving, with the ability to identify issues early and find practical solutions on site
