Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead our hygiene and sanitation team within a fast-paced lamb processing facility. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the plant meets strict food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards. This is a Night shift position with the hours being 12.00am - 5.30am

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations across the processing plant

Lead, train, and motivate a team of cleaning staff

Ensure all cleaning procedures meet industry, MPI, and company standards

Conduct routine inspections and audits of hygiene practices

Manage cleaning schedules and ensure completion within required timeframes

Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and compliance checks

Liaise with production and quality assurance teams to meet operational requirements

Ensure safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment

Promote a strong health and safety culture within the team

Qualifications

Previous experience in a supervisory role, ideally within food processing or industrial cleaning

Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards in meat or food processing environments

Strong leadership and team management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Good communication and organisational skills

Understanding of health & safety regulations

Flexibility to work shifts, including nights if required
