Cyber Security Lead

Contract | Christchurch | Initial 6 months, potential to extend to 12 months

About the role

Lead cyber security governance, risk and operations, driving practical security improvements and supporting a small team through a period of technology change.

What you’ll be doing

Lead security governance, risk, compliance and audit activities.

Oversee operational security, cloud security and secure configuration.

Manage customer security reviews, assurance and certification requirements.

Establish practical AI security governance and risk controls.

Lead a small team and work with stakeholders across technology and the wider business.

What we’re looking for

Experience leading a cyber security function, team or programme.

Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or SOC 2.

Experience across cloud and SaaS security, operational security and risk management.

Confident stakeholder engagement, including communicating cyber risk in business terms.

A practical, collaborative approach to security improvements and team leadership.
