Functional Tester

We're looking for a practical and detail-oriented Functional Tester to join a technical project team on an initial three-month contract, with potential to extend.

This is a hands-on testing role where you'll work through established test scenarios, check system functionality and help ensure everything performs as expected. You'll work closely with technical specialists to document results, flag issues and support follow-up testing.

What you'll be doing

Carrying out functional and system testing using existing test scripts.

Checking results against expected outcomes and documenting findings.

Recording defects and capturing evidence to support investigation.

Working with technical teams to resolve issues and retest fixes.

Managing a steady volume of testing while maintaining accuracy and quality.

What we're looking for

Experience in functional testing, system testing or ideally Factory Acceptance Testing.

Experience executing test scripts, recording results and managing defects.

Experience within the utilities, energy or manufacturing sectors would be highly advantageous.

Exposure to technical systems, industrial automation or control systems.

Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs or related technologies would be an advantage.

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and documentation.

Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Christchurch.

Immediate start.

Initial three-month contract, with potential to extend.
