The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage month-end, financial reporting, budgeting and compliance for the business. You will also support payroll and day-to-day accounting, and provide clear financial insight to the Leadership Team to guide commercial decisions. This is a hands-on role with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete month-end and cyclical processes, and prepare monthly financial reports

Prepare annual accounts and guide the team on compliance work

Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting and variance analysis against plan

Manage foreign exchange cover in line with company policy

Oversee accounts receivable to support debtor collection targets

Support GST, PAYE and tax return preparation and filing

Process payroll and manage business asset and replacement schedules

Drive process and systems improvement, and deliver ad hoc projects for the Finance Manager and Leadership Team

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Inventory experience is essential

3 to 5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field

CA / CPA qualified or working towards it is preferred

Strong experience preparing financial statements and management accounts

Advanced Excel and accounting software skills, ideally Exo or similar

Sound knowledge of NZ tax, including GST and PAYE returns

Payroll processing experience

* Able to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
