Intermediate - Senior Level Civil Engineer - General Civils and Stormwater

We are looking for engineers from Intermediate through to Senior level, and we are also open to candidates already operating at Project Director or Technical Director level.

At Holmes, you will join a highly respected engineering consultancy with a strong pipeline of interesting and technically demanding work, contributing to meaningful infrastructure outcomes across New Zealand.

What you'll do

Deliver civil engineering projects from proposal through to construction

Provide technical input or leadership across a broad range of infrastructure design work, depending on your level of experience

Work across general civils and/or stormwater design on a variety of project types

Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to repeat work and new opportunities

Take ownership of project outcomes, including quality, programme, commercial performance and delivery, where appropriate to your level

Work collaboratively with internal teams and clients to solve technically challenging problems

Mentor and support developing engineers

Contribute to business development and help strengthen Holmes' presence in the local market, particularly at senior, Project Director or Technical Director level

What you'll bring

You will bring civil engineering and infrastructure design experience across a range of project types and design elements, including across general civils, stormwater, three waters, roading, geometrics and pavement design depending on your experience.

You will be a technically capable and commercially aware engineer with strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to contribute across both technical delivery and stakeholder engagement. Depending on your level, you may also bring experience leading projects, mentoring engineers, and building trusted client relationships.
