We are looking for ‘can do’ lifeguards to join our team at Swim Zone Matamata and Te Aroha on a permanent full time and part time basis. The hours of work are as follows:

Swim Zone Matamata

Summer hours  November – March

Winter hours     April  – October

Summer hours (39 hours per week)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 5.30am – 2pm

Sunday 9.30am – 5pm

Winter Hours (35.5 per week)

Monday & Thursday 5.30am – 2pm

Tuesday & Wednesday 5.30am – 1pm

Sunday 9.30am – 3pm

Swim Zone Te Aroha (19.75 hours per week)

Monday and Friday 10.30am – 6.15pm

Saturday 2.00pm – 7.15pm

Full training will be provided to obtain first aid and lifeguard qualifications although preference will be given to applicants who already hold these qualifications or have prior experience.

As a lifeguard it will be your job to ensure the safety of our customers while providing a high level of customer service. Our ideal applicant will be a confident swimmer, has the ability to communicate effectively, make great health and safety decisions, keep the facility clean, and be confident to provide emergency response where required.  Swim Zone lifeguards have a varied role of rotating between reception, lifeguarding, pool tests, plant room and cleaning.
