Job Description

Our client is a well-established and growing consultancy firm with a strong presence across the Bay of Plenty & Waikato
The Role
This is an opportunity for a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor who wants genuine ownership of projects and the scope to influence how surveying services are delivered. Leading cadastral and land development projects from initial customer brief through to completion.
Delivering land transfer subdivisions, boundary definition and reinstatement surveys, easements, covenants, cross-lease updates and unit title work.
Researching records of title, historical survey plans and supporting evidence to resolve boundaries and inform sound survey decisions.
Planning and overseeing fieldwork, calculations and data processing using modern survey equipment and software.
Preparing, checking and certifying cadastral survey datasets and plans for accurate, efficient lodgement through Landonline.
Maintaining compliance with current cadastral survey rules, LINZ requirements, legislation, professional standards and quality systems.
Advising customers, legal advisers and local authorities on boundary matters, subdivision feasibility, survey risk and approval pathways.
Managing project scope, budgets, programmes, quality and customer expectations to achieve practical and commercially successful outcomes.
Working closely with planners, civil engineers and other specialists, while mentoring graduate surveyors and survey technicians.
Contributing to safer field practices, continuous improvement, service proposals and the ongoing growth of the surveying practice.

What’s on offer
A competitive remuneration package that reflects your experience and capability.
A broad mix of Waikato and New Zealand projects, with autonomy to lead work from initiation through to completion.
