What you will be doing

Carry out fault finding and repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

Maintain guest rooms and public areas to a high standard, including fixtures, fittings, and finishes

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and team members

Monitor contractor work to ensure quality and compliance

Complete work orders accurately and within required timeframes

Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and disruptions

Conduct regular inspections and proactively identify issues

About the Role

You’ll bring at least 2–3 years’ experience in maintenance, ideally within a hotel or commercial property environment. Experience across trades such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or joinery will set you up for success.

We’re also looking for someone who:

Has a strong customer focus and communicates well

Is practical, reliable, and solutions-oriented

Can work independently while contributing to a team

Is hands-on and resourceful, with good judgement on when to escalate

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for a Maintenance professional with at least 2 - 3 years’ experience, ideally with skills or exposure to joinery, electrical, plumbing or mechanical trades in a Hotel environment.

A trade qualification is beneficial but not needed, and previous hotel or commercial property experience is preferred as this will help you to hit the ground running in this role.

Handy at most things, but knows when to call in the experts
