Jet Ski Mechanic

Jet Ski Mechanic – Watersports Queenstown

Full-time – Permanent Role

Queenstown, New Zealand

Come and join one of New Zealand’s most exciting marine tourism companies!

Are you experienced in Jet Ski Mechanics with a passion for the tourism sector? Watersports Queenstown is a unique and dynamic marine tourism group operating in the stunning surroundings of Lake Wakatipu.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Jet Ski Marine Mechanic to join our mechanical team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with jet skis, along with the flexibility and willingness to work across a range of marine equipment within our wider group.

About the Role

As part of our skilled mechanical team, you’ll work hands-on with some of New Zealand’s most exciting marine machinery. From high-performance Seabreacher vessels and Jet Skis to Jet Cars, you’ll play a key role in keeping our unique fleet running safely, reliably, and at its best.

Performing scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of marine craft.

Diagnosing and fixing both mechanical and electrical issues to ensure maximum reliability.

Installing and upgrading engines and systems as required.

Maintaining accurate service logs and repair records.

Collaborating with operations teams and external contractors to minimise downtime and maximise availability of vessels.

Contributing to research and development projects for our unique adventure tourism vessels.

Ensuring our workshop is clean, organised, and compliant with all Health & Safety requirements.

Being adaptable and available during peak seasons to keep our fleet in top condition.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same — one day you could be fine-tuning a jet ski engine, and the next troubleshooting a Seabreacher or supporting a new vessel build.

About You

• 2+ years’ experience in marine mechanics would be beneficial but not required.
• A can-do attitude and pride in your workmanship.
• Friendly, team-oriented, and adaptable.
• Clean NZ driver’s licence.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload.
• Any marine licence is an advantage.
