Medical Imaging Technologist

This is a Permanent Full Time appointment.

Position Profile: We are currently seeking to appoint a Medical Imaging Technologist.

Examine patients in a professional manner and provide diagnostic services as required by the medical profession.

Suitability Criteria:

Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements. The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:

1. Demonstrated knowledge of radiographic principles, procedures, and standards with competent adaptation of techniques to suit non-routine and trauma situations.

2. Demonstrated awareness of importance of patient safety, welfare and privacy, radiation protection procedures and radiation legislative dose limits.

3. Demonstrated ability to work in an unsupervised capacity.

4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including ability to liaise with all levels of service delivery staff.

5. Demonstrated ability to diagnose simple imaging equipment faults/failures.
