\r\n\r\nJob Description\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Opportunity:\r\n\r\nReporting to the Maintenance Manager the MRO Coordinator maintains the inventory management and warehousing long-term strategies based on the consequences of equipment failure and the business’ needs/acceptable risks (i.e. unscheduled downtime versus inventory levels). They consider these business parameters, the tools available and how best to support The Maintenance department.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe MRO Coordinator is an experienced MRO leader with at least 3 years of experience in an inventory, warehousing or purchasing management role applying proven MRO best practices in an industrial environment.  A supply management, finance or business diploma is required, while a university degree is preferred.  The Coordinator is familiar with using a CMMS system and MS Office tools and with applying Standard Operating Procedures in his/her work. The Coordinator follows company policies, standards and guidelines as they apply to all activities.\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Coordinator has good leadership and communication skills, works well in a team environment, is responsible and is open to change. The person is structured, results oriented and quality driven. \r\n \r\n\r\nThe MRO Coordinator promotes and maintains a safe working environment through compliance with MLF’s Health and Safety Program. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAble to work in a fast paced environment \r\n\tAble to perform cycle counts, monthly and year ends\r\n\tParticipate and contribute to the scheduling meeting\r\n\tReview rework caused by spares failure at installation\r\n\tKit and stage all required parts for scheduled work prior to the work being added to the schedule\r\n\tWhen parts are requested notify trades when arrival\r\n\tProcess all returned parts as required (by reason for return)\r\n\tAble to make BOMs and enter into CMMS system\r\n\tPropose strategies to resolve shortfalls in Inventory Service Levels and Inventory Levels.\r\n\tResponsible for the MRO performance management reporting, reviewing and resolution process.\r\n\tParticipate in formal weekly meeting with Maintenance, MRO and Operations to review downtime and plan the following week's maintenance activities.\r\n\tCollaborate with Maintenance, Reliability, and Operations, Six Sigma and Engineering.\r\n\tApply the Materials Management process in support planned maintenance operations.\r\n\tRegularly review Materials/Inventory Management guidelines with key stakeholders.\r\n\tContinuously improve the Materials/Inventory Management performance based on Maintenance and Operational results and data.\r\n\tParticipate in RCA’s \r\n\tAble to work in Cold and warm environments at times.\r\n\tInclude reliability methodologies in the Materials/Inventory Management process.\r\n\tParticipate in regular Material/Inventory Management strategy planning sessions.\r\n\tMaintain vendor information attached to the material part numbers (I.e. Lead time, vendor part #, etc...).\r\n\tConduct materials requests and approval routing electronically.\r\n\tFollow the spare parts disposal process and utilize the decision matrix. \r\n\tSet Min/Max levels based on usage rate, usage patterns, delivery times, targeted service levels, equipment criticality and required safety stock levels\r\n\tReview past order history for spend analysis.\r\n\tPeriodically review system for non-treated parts/materials requests and inform Requestor.\r\n\tProcess parts/materials request to meet time requirement.\r\n\tProactively expedite parts (before due and planned date) with vendors.\r\n\tVerify that parts/materials received conform to the PO and are in good condition. Inform Purchasing if the quantity of parts/materials does not correspond to the PO or are damaged.\r\n\tIdentify new, used, broken and refurbished spare parts in the warehouse and track in SAP.\r\n\tTrack materials warranties in SAP for major/high value parts and leverage warranties for maximum cost recovery.\r\n\tMaintain the spares criticality (ABC classification) in SAP for all inventoried parts.\r\n\tFollow a materials non-conformance program including tracking, handling and storage of these.\r\n\tComply with the slow moving and obsolete parts program applying company rules to categorize these. \r\n\tEnsure provision of care and preservation for spare parts in the stockroom.\r\n\tOversee the documented parts receiving and issuing processes.\r\n\tMaintain the kitting and staging process for planned and scheduled Work Orders.\r\n\tRegularly review kits with the Planner or End User.\r\n\tEnsure all kits are access secure and kits with safety risks are labeled with safety warnings.\r\n\tParticipate in the Maintenance department's continuous improvement and knowledge collection efforts.\r\n\tContribute to the formal and standardized intra-company knowledge sharing process.\r\n\tGenerate and distribute weekly/monthly MRO performance progress reports following MLF's standard format.\r\n\tWork with Planner to ensure all required parts are available prior to the work being scheduled\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You’ll Bring:\r\n\r\nThe successful candidate will be results-oriented, thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment, and have the ability to develop positive working relationships with all employees. Candidates must have:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPost secondary education (Business Admin.)\r\n\tStrong organizational and time management skills.\r\n\tComputer experience in Microsoft Office, ie. Word and Excel, and maintenance inventory management.
