The Role

We are seeking a Power BI Developer to design and deliver high-quality data visualisation solutions that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.

This role focuses on building robust reporting solutions, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting the ongoing development and governance of a modern analytics platform.

You will work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into insightful dashboards and automated reporting solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and usability across the reporting ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Application Lifecycle: Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting jobs and dynamic dashboards based on stakeholder specifications.
• Data Connectivity & Accuracy: Manage data connections to ensure seamless synchronisation across sources and perform rigorous data validation to maintain report accuracy.
• Performance & Resiliency: Build resilient, high-availability reporting solutions, optimising refresh patterns and resource usage to support FinOps and sustainability objectives.
• Platform & Governance: Support the Power BI platform by managing workspace security, monitoring capacity performance, and maintaining governance standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users and technical teams in a distributed environment to review operational performance and continuously refine reporting solutions.

Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development and data modelling
• Advanced knowledge of Power Query and DAX
• Experience managing Power BI Service, including security configuration and platform monitoring
• Exposure to Azure managed services and cloud-based data platforms

Desirable Experience

• Experience developing Power BI custom visuals
• Knowledge or exposure to Microsoft Fabric
• Background in database design, data mining, or data analysis
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification

• Visual storytelling: Ability to design clear, intuitive dashboards for non-technical audiences
• Attention to detail: Deliver accurate data outputs and polished user interfaces
• Technical curiosity: Interest in learning advanced optimisation techniques and modern cloud data architectures
• Communication: Comfortable working within agile, distributed engineering teams and engaging with stakeholders
