About Us

Millari NZ is a proud timber manufacturer with operations across Aotearoa and Australia.

We are looking for multiple Sawmill Operators / Production Machine Operators to join our expanding production and mill operations team in Gisborne, New Zealand, across our 24/7 operation.

Permanent full-time roles available, with training provided, day or night shifts on a 4-on-3-off roster across Monday–Sunday. Have fun while you learn and earn! Be a part of the Millari NZ whanau!

Key Responsibilities

Operating sawmill and production machinery
Timber handling, feeding, stacking, and packing
Production line support
Maintaining safety, PPE, and clean work areas

We’re Looking For

Reliable, flexible, and positive attitude
Mechanically minded with practical problem-solving skills
Manufacturing, labouring, or machinery experience (advantageous)
Strong work ethic and team player
Physically fit and comfortable in an industrial environment

Role Details

Full-time permanent opportunities
Approximately 48 hours per week
Starting rate: $24.00 per hour
Day and night shifts on a 4-on-3-off roster across Monday-Sunday

Typical shifts

• 6:00am – 6:30pm

• 6:00pm – 6:30am

Requirements

Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol and medical testing
Participate in random drug and alcohol testing
Follow strict health and safety procedures
