We're working with one of the UK's leading business services providers on this exciting opportunity.

This is a high-impact role for a Senior Software Engineer ready to lead a massive technical transformation. You will play a pivotal part in re-platforming a high-traffic system, moving away from legacy Drupal architecture toward a modern, scalable stack built on TypeScript, Node.js, and React.

**The Role**

• Lead the charge in modernising and scaling the platform through a full-scale migration from Drupal to a modern JavaScript ecosystem.
• Build robust, scalable applications and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript following clean architecture principles.
• Contribute to diverse backend services and APIs, gaining exposure to existing Python (Django/Flask) and Laravel environments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, UX, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless user experiences and high-performance infrastructure.
• Drive best practices in coding standards, testing, and CI/CD deployment workflows.

**What You'll Need**

• 6-8+ years of commercial experience in software development with a heavy focus on Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Proven expertise with modern front-end frameworks, specifically React or Vue.js, to build responsive UIs.
• Previous experience or exposure to Python (Django/Flask) or PHP (Laravel) is highly advantageous for full-stack versatility.
• A strong understanding of API design and a background working with CMS migrations (knowledge of Drupal is a massive plus).
• A mindset geared towards scalability, performance optimization, and architectural excellence.
