Job Description
Join Zeagold, New Zealand’s largest egg producer, and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations across our egg farm in the Waikouaiti area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys routine, hands-on work and being part of a supportive team.
About the Role
This hands-on role focuses on bird welfare, shed housekeeping, daily inspections, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will play an important role in identifying issues, reporting concerns, and ensuring high farm standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily welfare inspections and monitor bird health and behaviour.
Check feed, water, temperature, ventilation, and equipment to ensure sheds are operating effectively.
Record and report mortalities, maintenance issues, and any abnormalities requiring attention.
Complete daily, weekly, and scheduled cleaning and housekeeping tasks across sheds and surrounding areas.
Collect samples, maintain accurate records, and follow established farm procedures.
Assist with general farm operations and support maintenance and cleaning activities as required.

Reliable and punctual.
Able to work independently and manage your time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and good observation skills.
Comfortable with physical, hands-on work.
Committed to safety, cleanliness, and animal welfare.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Tuesday to Saturday, 6:30am to 3:00pm roster
