Job Description
To enhance the quality of clinical documentation, the full-time Washington State RN Clinical Documentation Specialist will interact with healthcare providers to facilitate modifications and ensure appropriate reimbursement for services rendered, working remotely during daytime hours.
##### Key responsibilities
Improve the quality and completeness of clinical documentation through collaboration with physicians and nursing staff
Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation to ensure compliance and appropriate reimbursement
Maintain regular communication with various personnel within and outside the medical center to support documentation efforts
##### Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing
Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
Five years of recent ER and/or critical care clinical experience in a hospital setting
* Experience in utilization review and/or as a clinical documentation specialist preferred
